Executive Vice President of Construction Services & Principal General Contractor
Marco J. LeFlore serves as Executive Vice President of Construction Services & Principal General Contractor for Senior Living Conversion Capital, providing construction leadership, preconstruction strategy, project planning, and execution support for the company’s hotel-to-senior-living conversion platform.
Mr. LeFlore brings extensive experience in commercial and multifamily construction, large-scale rehabilitation, HUD-funded redevelopment, accessibility modifications, building systems, and adaptive renovation. Through Leflore Construction, LLC, he has participated in substantial public and private construction assignments throughout the Southeast and beyond, including multifamily communities involving hundreds of residential units.
His experience is particularly relevant to Senior Living Conversion Capital’s conversion model. Repositioning an existing hotel for senior living can require significant modifications to accessibility, interior configurations, mechanical and electrical systems, plumbing, common areas, exterior circulation, and resident living spaces. Leflore Construction’s documented experience includes modifying handicap-accessible units, demolition and reframing, ramps and concrete walks, HVAC replacement, electrical upgrades, plumbing, drainage, carpentry, flooring, cabinetry, windows and doors, and comprehensive interior and exterior rehabilitation.
Among the firm's significant assignments is the Memphis Housing Authority HUD RAD redevelopment, a project encompassing 472 housing units with a reported development value of approximately $43 million and approximately $19 million in construction. Leflore Construction was contracted for approximately $9 million of work. Its scope included parking areas, concrete walks and ramps, drainage, HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing fixtures, interior construction and modifications to handicap-accessible units, including demolition and reframing.
The firm's project history also includes participation in the $60 million Wellston Housing Authority redevelopment involving 186 units; the $33 million Laurel Housing Authority redevelopment involving 500 units; the $44 million Yazoo City Housing Authority redevelopment involving 240 units; and the $40 million Vicksburg Housing Authority redevelopment involving 431 units. Leflore Construction's contracted scopes on these assignments ranged from building systems and infrastructure to extensive interior and exterior rehabilitation.
Mr. LeFlore's construction background also includes work directly involving senior housing. Leflore Construction participated in the renovation of 58 apartments at South Central Senior Village Apartments in Cleveland, Mississippi, with work including plumbing, drainage, sidewalks and curbs, cabinetry and carpentry.
The firm's experience as a prime contractor further demonstrates its ability to manage comprehensive renovation scopes. At Canton Manor Apartments, Leflore Construction served as prime contractor for the $1.8 million interior and exterior renovation of 64 apartments. The work included concrete walks and ramps, HVAC, electrical systems, interior construction and modification of handicap-accessible units through demolition and reframing.
Mr. LeFlore also brings an important regional dimension to SLCC's expansion strategy. The qualifications package documents Leflore Construction general-contractor licensing in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina and Tennessee. The package also identifies Marco J. LeFlore as the General Contractor Qualifying Agent associated with Leflore Construction in Georgia.
His experience with multifamily rehabilitation, accessibility improvements, occupied residential properties, building systems and large redevelopment programs gives Senior Living Conversion Capital an important construction perspective as the company evaluates and executes hotel conversion opportunities.
As Executive Vice President of Construction Services & Principal General Contractor, Mr. LeFlore supports the platform across property assessment, preconstruction planning, construction budgeting, scope development, accessibility modifications, value engineering, contractor coordination, building-system improvements, construction oversight and project execution.
